Translator Gevord Vardanyan visits Indian Cultural Centre

Today we had a very special guest at our office. Translator Gevorg Vardanyan visited the Indian Cultural Centre Armenia / Հնդկական Մշակութային Կենտրոն to share with us the great news of the publication of his second translation in Armenian about Yoga titled, "Old Indian Religion and Philosophy : Yoga in Practice- Volume II"

Mr Vardanyan had earlier translated and published "Old Indian Religion and Philosophy :The Philosophy of Yoga- Volume I" the presentation of which was held in June 2019 at the premises of Intercultural Research and Development NGO, Yerevan. The first volume contains the writings of Swami Vivekananda.

While at the Cultural Centre, Mr Vardanyan got acquainted with the premises, our programs and activities and discussed avenues of future collaboration with our program's coordinator Mr Karen Mkrtchyan. He also generously donated a copy of his book to our library and left additional copies of both the volumes for those that would like to purchase them. In return he was presented with Indian hand-made artifacts as memento from our centre.

We are grateful to Mr Vardanyan for his generousity and look forward to an exciting collaboration in the future. We are confident, that his books will help the Armenian public understand Yoga and Indian Philosophy better.
